Built from premium rot-resistant decking boards, it's engineered to endure British weather while developing a natural patina over time. The two-tier design creates distinct planting zones, allowing you to cultivate mixed displays or separate plant varieties by height and sunlight needs. Standing 28cm tall with a 35cm width, it fits naturally into corner spaces, along deck edges, or as a focal point on patios. Select your ideal length to match your garden layout perfectly, whether you're working with a compact urban balcony or a sprawling countryside garden. Care & Use

Our wooden planters are designed for outdoor use and built using timber suited to the UK climate.

To get the best lifespan from your planter:

  • We recommend a liner or breathable membrane to protect the internal timber
  • Ensure drainage holes remain clear to prevent water build-up
  • Avoid placing the planter directly onto constantly wet ground
  • Over time, the timber will naturally weather and change colour — this is normal and part of its character

With basic care, your planter will provide many seasons of use.
If you’re unsure whether a planter is suitable for your space, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to advise.

Ongoing Care

Wood is a natural material. For those who wish to maintain the original appearance, a suitable wood treatment or oil can be applied periodically. This is optional and not required for structural performance.

Are these planters suitable for use on decking?

Yes. Our decking planters are designed for use on decking, patios, and paved surfaces. They’re made from pressure-treated timber for outdoor durability and include drainage to help prevent standing water.

Are your planters pressure-treated?

Yes. All of our wooden planters are pressure-treated to protect against rot, moisture, and insects. This treatment helps extend the life of the planter outdoors, even in damp UK conditions, without affecting plant safety.

Can I paint or stain my wooden planter?

Yes. The planter can be painted or stained if you wish to change the colour or finish. If painting or staining, we recommend allowing the timber to fully dry first and using a product suitable for exterior wood.

Does this need a liner?

A liner is not essential, but it can help extend the life of the planter by reducing direct contact between the soil and the timber.

How long will a pressure-treated wooden planter last?

Pressure-treated timber is designed for outdoor use and, with normal care, your planter should last for many years in typical UK weather conditions.

Do your planters have drainage holes?

Yes. All of our planters are designed with drainage holes or drainage slats to allow excess water to escape. Proper drainage is essential to prevent waterlogging and keep plant roots healthy.
